Dry Needling

Dry Needling

Dry Needling is similar to acupuncture whereby small needles are used to release trigger points. Placing the needle into the trigger point helps to release a reflex relaxation response of the overactive tight band of muscle.

Trigger points in muscles can not only be painful but can also restrict your movements. This results in an abnormal movement pattern potentially effecting other surround soft tissue & joints.

Dry Needling helps to increase circulation to the area and also stimulates the neural system to help improve movement. At K2: Health dry needling may be used your physiotherapist or myotherapist as an adjunct treatment.
